Violinist and professor Ernest Salem maintains a busy schedule giving recitals and concerts across the United States, in Europe and South America. Formerly concertmaster of the Wichita Symphony, he is also active as a freelance musician in the Los Angeles area, having performed with the Los Angeles Master Chorale Orchestra, Los Angeles Mozart Orchestra, Long Beach Symphony, Asia American Orchestra and South Coast Symphony. In demand as a presenter, he’s offered master classes at universities, colleges and art schools throughout the United States. Dr. Salem holds degrees from Michigan State University, the University of Houston and the University of Minnesota. Included among his teachers are Yfrah Neaman, Fredell Lack and members of the Juilliard Quartet. Dr. Salem is also published in the American String Teachers’ Journal and the Long Island Historical Journal.

Alison Edwards, Assistant Professor of Piano and Piano Pedagogy, has performed nationally and internationally as soloist and chamber musician. Most recently, Ms. Edwards toured China in recital and masterclasses from Hangzhou to Beijing, at venues including the Zhejiang Conservatory and the Tangshan Poly Theater. She has been featured concerto soloist with orchestras such as the Peninsula Symphony, the Rio Hondo Symphony, the Orange Coast College Symphony, the Marina Del-Rey/Westchester Symphony and others. As chamber musician, Ms. Edwards has collaborated with members of the Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra and the Pacific Symphony. More recently, she has performed at several national venues, including the Shenandoah Conservatory, the Blair School of Music, and Southern Methodist University. Ms. Edwards was first place winner at the Carmel Music Society Young Artist Competition and national second place winner in the MTNA Collegiate Competition. She has taught masterclasses for the Sara Compinsky Masterclass Series, Reflections of the Ocean Series, MTAC Branches and the Orange County School of the Arts. A passionate teacher of piano pedagogy, and head of the Piano Pedagogy program at CSUF, she recently completed residencies at the University of Arizona and Southern Methodist University and maintains an active schedule of pedagogy lectures in the region. A longtime student of Earle Voorhies, at both the pre-college and undergraduate levels at CSUF, Ms. Edwards completed her MM in Piano Performance at the University of Southern California, where she studied with Daniel Pollock and Dr. Stewart Gordon.

The Box Office located on the southwest corner of the Clayes Performing Arts Center. Free 15-minute parking is available off Arts Drive near the Box Office.

Parking on weekends is free starting at 5 pm, Fridays. At all other times, daily permits are required and can be purchased for $8 upon entering the parking structure. Cash is not accepted. Visa, MasterCard and Discover only.
